How to create...The Perfect Hawaiian Luau
Welcome to my Hawaiian Luau!!! Here you will learn a couple of traditions that make up an authentic luau. I take alot of pride in who I am and my heritage. And I hope that you will be able to experience a real hawaiian luau. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask me. Thank you for stopping by or in other words "Aloha and Mahalo" to you!!!
Set the Mood
Now what is a luau without the mood? I know many think that alittle straw hats, some fake leis, and colorful grass skirts are all that you need. Well I say no!! If you cant take the party to Hawaii then I'll help bring Hawaii to you! I'd say use alot of green and blues but of course that is what makes Hawaii so beautiful those natural earthy colors with a tint of purple and yellow to set a sunset mood should get the party going. I prefer that you buy a couple of tiki torches and light it up before the sun goes down and "WALA" your've got yourself an authentic luau. Being from Hawaii and moving here to the States I realized that if there is one thing I miss it would have to be the amazing sunsets. If you ever have the chance to visit the beautiful islands of Hawaii take a moment to yourself and make sure you watch the warm sunset. This is just one small detail to put on your list.

Hula Dancers
What is a luau without Hula Dancers? After dancing for many years myself I have realized that there is no "hawaii" without dancing. Hula is our interpretation of telling a story. Although at times it may look pretty sensual every hand movement, foot motion, and hip shakn' is telling you apart of a story. We as hawaiians are very proud of our ancestry and many times that what we dance about. So I hope that one day you will be able to experience this beautiful dance for yourself.
Hawaiian Food
Yum!!! My favorite part of an authentic hawaiian luau would have to be our unique food. Shown here would be your (from top left to right) squid luau, lomilomi salmon and poi. Then your kalua pig, laulau, chicken long rice. And for your sides you have: sweet potato and of course, your pineapple. After finishing your plate your experience something that we call a "kanakattack" is when the only thing you can do after eating is go straight to bed. Our food is one of the reasons why I am so proud to be hawaiian. I hope that one day you'll be able to taste this "ono" (delicious) entrees. It definitly is one of a kind!
